Finding our cottage in Canada,in Eastern Ontario in the
Land O’ Lakes area of the Ontario Highlands region is no chore at all.
How do I find the cottage? Drive to Sharbot Lake ; Start from the junction of Road #38 and Provincial Hwy. #7. Proceed east towards Perth for 1. 3 km and you reach the Zealand Road (See the sand and salt dome of the Ministry of Highways) Turn north onto the Zealand Road (left when proceeding east towards Perth). We live at 2275 Zealand Road. Questions ? Please ask.
Travel northeast on the Zealand Road for 5.6 km ( you will pass the Bell Line junction- 4.9 km and Willis Armstrong junction–5.2 km ) until you reach Harding Lane.
Turn south (right) onto Harding Lane and follow it keeping left, passing the old log barn and travel to the Y junction,.
Follow the southerly branch (right) for 200 meters until you see the Civic number 1257.
Turn left and travel down this lane until you come to the car park at the bottom of the hill.
You are now on holidays.
Alternately use your GPS unit and key in Central Frontenac as the city.
Driving and parking your car at the cottage.
There is lots of room to turn around and park one car on the dead end drive we have. However I would suggest any second vehicle be parked at the top of the hill to avoid any problem. Leaving the cottage requires you to drive up a steep grade. I suggest low gear and steady speed to avoid spinning.
